Baby Driver has all the pacing of Edgar Wrights cult hits such as Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim Vs The World but perfected to a fine art. Cuts of dialogue and film are literally in sync with music at times and it creates a rhythm that accentuates the pacing of this quasi-musical that allows the songs to flow in and out of the film allowing us to almost interact with the music the way our main character does. If that wasn’t enough, we have an impressive fun cast that delivers the clever and witty script with flare and experience. The stunts in this film and the car chases/chases are absolutely A-grade perfection. I hoped the film was longer but it ended all too quickly, It’s truly a joy-ride all the way to the end credits.
